I-Pixel Laser Skin Resurfacing

I-Pixel laser skin resurfacing in London is a treatment suitable for various skin problems including acne, fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, scars, sun damaged skin and stretch marks.

WHY CHOOSE I-Pixel Laser Skin Resurfacing

I-Pixel laser treatment is a non-invasive skin resurfacing procedure designed to improve various skin problems such as acne scarring, uneven skin tone, enlarged pores, and excess pigmentation.

It is a suitable treatment option for various skin problems from wrinkles to scars. The laser targets only areas that need to be treated in the dermis of the skin to stimulate collagen production and skin cell regeneration. It is a highly effective choice of treatment to transform the appearance of your skin. I-Pixel is safe for men and women of all skin types. This innovative laser technology also stimulates collagen production while protecting the integrity of the skin. Remarkably smooth and radiant skin can be achieved about three weeks after treatment.

It works best for:

  • Fine lines
  • Different types of scars
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Rough skin texture
  • Dry and dull complexion
  • Sun damage

How does it work?

This next generation laser treatment works by targeting both layers of skin, the epidermis and the dermis. It targets only affected areas of the skin, and because it penetrates the dermis, it stimulates collagen production and regeneration of cells.

Who can benefit from this?

I-Pixel treatment is recommended for individuals noticing the following:

  • Ageing signs (fine lines and/or wrinkles)
  • Acne
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Scars
  • Enlarged pores
  • Sun damaged skin
  • Rough textured skin
  • Stretch marks (on the body)

When can I expect results?

Results typically are visible 2-3 days after the procedure. Immediately after the procedure, it is not uncommon to notice any of the following: swelling, redness, or skin irritation. We recommend you use SPF 50 every, in conjunction with moisturiser after the procedure is finished.

Providing you follow our recommended treatment course of 3-6 sessions, results can be long lasting.

How long does the procedure last?

I-Pixel is a relatively quick treatment, lasting around 20-40mins.

Does I-Pixel laser lighten skin?

I-Pixel laser skin resurfacing will not change your skin colour dramatically, but it can visibly lighten dark spots and different forms of unwanted skin pigmentation. Even if you don’t have blemishes, the treatment can give an overall brightening or glowing effect.

What’s the difference between I-Pixel laser and Fraxel?

The main difference between I-Pixel laser and Fraxel is the wavelength. I-Pixel has a longer wavelength of 2940 nm, compared to the 1320 nm of Fraxel. While both can effectively treat photodamaged skin and various signs of ageing, I-Pixel laser penetrates deeper into the skin, making it a better treatment for depressed acne scars.

How long does it take to heal from I-Pixel laser?

Depending on your body’s wound healing system, full recovery takes about 7-10 days. The larger the treated area, the longer the healing process. The second treatment can be performed after 4 weeks.

Initial Consultation

Our experienced consultant will assess if you are eligible for the treatment. If you were previously treated with laser therapies and other cosmetic procedures, you need to disclose that to your therapist prior to treatment.

Treatment Details

The whole procedure could take about 45 minutes to 1 hour. First, your face will be thoroughly cleansed, making sure that all make-up, moisturiser, and sunscreen are removed. This treatment does not require anaesthetic agents or numbing cream. The laser handpiece is placed on your skin in multiple passes. You may feel a prickling sensation as the device gently glides across your face and body.

Side effects and contraindications

You may experience redness and some swelling immediately after treatment. This is typical of any laser procedure. Always hydrate your skin using emollients and use high SPF sunscreen to minimise side effects.

Recovery

It takes roughly 27 days for the skin to regenerate. The full effects of the treatment are more noticeable within 3-4 weeks. Your renewed skin should be maintained through a course of 3-5 treatment sessions. Failure to protect your skin from the sun can lead to the formation of dark spots and the progression of sun damage. Follow an appropriate skin care regimen to keep your skin radiant and healthy-looking.

SOME INFORMATION

Home » Treatments » LASER » I-Pixel Laser Skin Resurfacing

The I-Pixel laser targets both the epidermis (surface layer) and the dermis (middle layer) of the skin without damaging the epidermis, unlike the traditional laser resurfacing. It is also called fractional laser skin resurfacing as it targets only the specific areas and leaves the rest of the areas unharmed. By reaching the dermis, there is stimulation of collagen production and regenerations of skin cells. The treatment is pain free with a warm feeling from the laser heat. There may be a tightened feeling of your skin afterwards, and potentially some reddening and swelling but should subside in 2 days. Generally you will need a course of 3-6 sessions, each session approximately a month apart, but our experts will tailor this to your individual needs. It is highly effective in transforming the appearance of your skin as it improves the texture and tone of the skin as well as reducing pore size, marks and scarring within 2 weeks of your first treatment session.
