Skin Peels

Acne, Skin Brite, Peptide Peel - Skin Peels are an excellent option if you are looking to quickly transform, revive and rejuvenate your skin.

WHY CHOOSE Skin Peels

If you are looking for a simple, fast and effective way to quickly transform, revive and rejuvenate your skin, then our professional skin peels are a great choice. Skin peels remove a layer of damaged skin, leaving you with a newer and healthier layer. A non-toxic chemical solution will then be applied, which causes the superficial skin layers to peel away. When the skin begins to heal, it will produce a new and healthier skin layer, leaving a more youthful complexion. The type of treatment and sessions required will depend on your skin type and concern, but an average of 4-6 peels are needed at 4 week intervals for best results.

There are a variety of professional peels to choose from and our clinic offers the three most innovate skin peels:

Acne Peel – This is suitable if you have acne-prone skin and suffer from red and sore acne breakouts. The treatment uses salicyclic acid, a beta hydroxy acid which works by reducing and controlling the inflammation and redness seen in acne, as well as preventing future breakouts. This skin peel will leave you with a clearer complexion.

Skin Brite Peel – This is suitable if you are looking to correct sun damage pigmentation and dark spots. The peel is developed with innovative ingredients; Mandelic and Phytic acids help by lifting, brightening and exfoliating visible dark spots, while lactic acid and stem cells prevent further pigmentation from developing. The peel will leave your skin radiant and smooth.

Peptide peel – This is suitable if you are looking to overcome fine lines and wrinkles. Peptides help by making the skin more plump and smooth. This peel will leave your skin with a younger complexion.

A skin peel is a quick and easy way of transforming your skin to a fresher, smoother and more vibrant look. The results are instantaneous, and providing you follow the individualised advice from our therapists, as well as recommended sessions, you can keep your skin looking as optimal as possible all the time.

Can skin peels lighten skin?

Regardless of the type of peel you use, your skin will look a bit lighter or brighter because the blemished skin from the outer layer is removed. Yes, there are several skin peeling solutions that has been approved for brown or black skin. The type of peel and the doctor’s technique is very crucial in preventing complications when treating patients with darker skin tone. Our licensed therapists are highly trained to handle different skin types and skin colours.

Initial consultation

Our trained in-house consultant will suggest the right type of peel for your skin concern. If you have other cosmetic procedures or surgeries done recently, you need to disclose that to our consultant. You may be advised to follow a pre-peel care before the actual procedure for optimum results.

Treatment details

A chemical solution, containing a powerful blend of ingredients, is applied to your skin after cleansing. You may feel a slight stinging or warm sensation during the procedure. This is temporary and will only last for a few minutes. Peeling usually starts within three days and lasts for about a week. You will be given take home products to protect your skin while it’s peeling. Do not pick on the flaking skin as it can lead to scarring.

Side effects and contraindications

It is common to experience slight swelling and redness right after the peel. After a few days your skin may feel tight and eventually peels off. Just keep it moisturised and avoid sun exposure to minimise side effects.

Recovery

A skin peel is an amazing treatment if you want visible transformation of your problematic skin. The success of the peel depends on your skin type and the depth of the peel. It is very important to use gentle cleansers and cosmetics after the peel. Avoid abrasive facial scrubs as it can cause premature peeling of the skin. Because skin peels also promote the building of collagen, expect even better results after regular skin peeling sessions.

The Importance of Skin Peeling

Home » Treatments » FACIAL » Skin Peels

Our skin is our first line of defence against dust, germs, environmental pollutants and UV rays. It is only imperative that we take better care of our skin. The skin sheds routinely and old skin cells pile up. It is a natural process that is necessary to make the new cells come up to the surface. Without proper exfoliation, dead skin cells accumulate and the skin becomes rough, dull, and prone to breakouts.

While facial scrubs can help reduce dead skin cells, it is not the most efficient way to exfoliate. Chemical skin peels does not only remove the accumulation of oil, dirt, and dead skin cells, they also target blemishes, pigmentation, fine lines, and open pores.
