Deep Exfoliation Facial

The deep exfoliation facial is the perfect option if you are looking for a thorough face rejuvenation treatment to revitalise your skin.

WHY CHOOSE Deep Exfoliation Facial

Deep exfoliation facial is a combination of microdermabrasion and facial treatment. A typical facial involves deep cleansing, steaming, and blackhead extraction. Some people with sensitive skin who wish to undergo skin exfoliation through deep chemical peeling are worried about potential side effects and longer recovery period. Like a chemical peel, microdermabrasion is also a skin resurfacing technique but it is a less invasive way of exfoliating the face. It sloughs off the topmost layer of the skin, leaving the other layers intact, which means there are minimal downtime and lower risk of side effects.

Is deep exfoliation facial good for acne?

Not only it is good for existing blemishes, but it also takes care of unwanted breakouts. You should only get this treatment from a trained professional, as inappropriate extraction technique and improperly sterilised medical instruments can lead to more inflammation and eruption of lesions.

How will this treatment benefit me?

This procedure is used to remove blackheads, reduce pores, and fully rejuvenate and optimise skin health. You will see results instantly, and individualised advice from your therapist will help to maintain this.

Is blackhead extraction painful?

Blackhead extraction can hurt a bit. If you have tried picking on your pimples before, it feels basically the same. However, your therapist can make the procedure more comfortable. Let her know if you have skin sensitivities or low threshold for pain.

Does microdermabrasion thin your skin?

Microdermabrasion does not thin your skin. In fact, it helps maintain the integrity of your skin by stimulating collagen production, so your skin will feel plump or bouncy overtime. But if you already have thin skin, you may need different treatment as advised by your dermatologist.

What to do after deep facial exfoliation?

Deep facial softens the skin and opens the pores to dislodge the buildup of oil, dirt, and dead skin cells. It’s important to have a good skincare routine at home to maintain the benefits of the treatment. Always protect your skin from UV rays and use non-comedogenic moisturisers or serums.

Are there any side effects?

It is unlikely that this procedure will cause any pain. You may experience some redness and minor swelling. Our trained therapists have your comfort as their priority, every effort will be made to ensure you have a pleasant experience.

How long does this treatment last?

Typically from 40-60mins. We recommend a course of 6 facials, once weekly for optimum results (typically up to 6 months).

Initial consultation

Our expert consultant will analyse your skin condition and recommend the best treatment plan to address your skin concerns. You will be asked about your medical history and if you have other procedures done recently.

Treatment details

If you are happy with the results of a basic facial but prefer a more extensive treatment with minimal downtime, deep exfoliation facial is a must-try. The procedure starts with a deep cleansing facial scrub to remove dirt, grease, and makeup; followed by microdermabrasion – a skin polishing procedure that offers gentle exfoliation and skin rejuvenation. It is now easy to unclog the pores since the buildup of oil and dirt have loosened up.

Side effects and contraindications

Some redness and swelling may be experienced after the treatment. This is normal and will usually subside within a couple of days, depending on your skin’s sensitivity. The areas with extracted comedones may scab or peel, just apply moisturisers to protect the skin while it’s healing.

Recovery

Most patients reported smoother skin with even texture after just one treatment. However, the full effects of the procedure can only be achieved after a course of 6 or more facials, especially if you have acne and other blemishes. If you leave your skin untreated, it can go back to its original state after a few months, as dead skin cells and oil start to buildup. Your skin may become more sensitive to the sun after the procedure; don’t forget to apply sun protection during the daytime.

Home » Treatments » FACIAL » Deep Exfoliation Facial

While a basic facial can do wonders to your skin, a deep exfoliation facial has additional benefits of smoothing out rough and patchy skin and unclogging oil and dead skin buildup from your pores. We recommend this treatment if you have dry, oily, or combination skin with acne or blemishes, as it helps clear pores and greatly improves the appearance of troubled skin.

Microdermabrasion and facial are both effective when performed separately, but they give excellent results when combined with one treatment. If you have problematic skin and you want the benefits from both treatments without having to go back for a separate visit, ask one of our therapists for a deep exfoliation facial.
