WHY CHOOSE Peptide Peel
Peptide Peel is a powerful yet gentle skin rejuvenating treatment that helps correct visible signs of premature skin ageing such as sun damage, lines and wrinkles, and skin laxity. It exfoliates the outermost layer of the skin to remove dirt and dead skin buildup while kick-starting skin turnover and collagen production.
Which peel is best for ageing skin?
The ageing skin is usually thinner and naturally prone to dryness. It’s important to choose gentle exfoliative agents that can reduce fine lines and fade age spots. We incorporate glycolic acid for this peel, a fantastic AHA that can address hyperpigmentation and other major signs of skin ageing.
How does a peptide peel correct wrinkles?
The exact mechanism of action of peptides in wrinkle correction is still unclear, but experts believe that they serve as signals for skin repair to take place. For instance, if peptides are applied to your skin that is ageing prematurely, they might send a signal to your skin to increase the production of collagen and hyaluronic acid. This will result in a healthier skin barrier and a more plumped skin.
What should I put on my face after a peptide peel?
After peptide peel, our therapist will suggest products that you can use to boost the repair and restoration of skin cells. Always moisturise your skin and wear a high-SPF sunscreen during the day.
Can a peptide peel tighten skin?
The skin sags and loses elasticity due to lack of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid. Peptides promote the production of these natural substances that can lead to improvement of saggy or “crepey” skin. Your skin may feel firmer and tighter right after treatment.
Our highly-trained skin expert will be ready to assist you in determining the right type of treatment for your skin concern. Depending on the severity of your skin condition, you may be given a pre-peel product to be applied on your face for about a week before the actual peel. This is to ensure proper absorption of the peeling agent and more efficient exfoliation.
After thoroughly cleansing your face, our specialised peptide peel solution is applied to your skin. It is made of the ultra-gentle glycolic acid and cell-penetrating peptides. We use glycolic acid because it is a well-tolerated AHA and offers multiple benefits. Your therapist will ask how your skin feels. Though you may not feel any pain during the procedure, be vocal about any stinging or discomfort.
Side effects and contraindications
Peptide peel may cause mild swelling, redness, dryness, itching, and crusting. The treated area may peel for a week or more. Use gentle cleansers and moisturiser to reduce side effects. Avoid scrubbing your skin and picking the flakes as it can lead to scarring.
For excellent results, follow the post-peel care as instructed by your therapist. Wait at least one week before resuming your routine skincare, especially if you are using tretinoin, glycolic acid, and other exfoliative treatments. You can go back to your daily activities, but avoid strenuous activities for a few days. We recommend maintenance treatments every 2-4 weeks to prevent the formation of new lines and wrinkles.

The science behind peptides
Peptides are more than just a buzz word or a beauty trend. The skin is supported by important proteins like collagen, elastin, and keratin. The building blocks of proteins are amino acids. Peptides are groups of amino acids. Simply put, they fortify the structural support of your skin. Without these proteins, the skin will be prone to dryness, wrinkles, and sagging.
Dermagical Peptide Peel combines the power of peptides and glycolic acid–a popular anti-ageing alpha hydroxy acid–to combat UV-induced damage, replenish skin proteins, and give your skin a youthful glow.
